The case shown here is of a 30 year-old male patient presenting multiple marginal gingival recessions in the lower jaw and seeking orthodontic treatment to correct the position of his teeth.

Periodontal treatment preceded orthodontic treatment to restore periodontal health. A connective tissue graft was used to obtain root coverage around the tooth teeth.

The patient was highly compliant with treatment. Both pre and post-operative instructions given were followed strictly. After the periodontal plastic surgery procedure, root coverage was 100%. The patient then started the corrective phase of treatment with Orthodontic treatment.

The technique used here was the tunnel subepithelial connective tissue graft technique described by Zabalegui and cols. in 1999 for the coverage of multiple adjacent gingival recessions.
